Beat the Heat this Summer: Frozen Face Soother



Here in the Southwest part of the US, the summer heat is starting to rear it's ugly head. With temps reaching 110+ degrees, it's essential to stay cool and hydrated.


What we tend to forget is to keep our skin refreshed and nourished. That's where this frozen chamomile face soother becomes your go to treatment (along with a good moisturizer that is). The cooling effect of the this frozen delight soothes the skin, while reducing irritation and inflammation from sun exposure, and combats dry skin through hydration.


Chamomile is high in antioxidants and anti-inflammatory properties which help aid in:

  • Reducing redness of the skin

  • Clearing up blemishes

  • Lightening dark circles

  • Making your skin glow

To make this, you'll need the following:

  • 1 1/2 cups hot water

  • Measuring cup

  • 2 Tablespoons organic dried chamomile flowers

  • Mold of choice

DIRECTIONS

  1. Pour the hot water (not boiling) into the measuring cup

  2. Add the flowers and let steep for 30-40 minutes

  3. Now, pour the mixture into your mold

  4. Place the mold in the freezer and leave it in there until the product is completely frozen

  5. When ready to use, take one ice cube out of the freezer and rub it onto your neck and face

NOTE: For best results, when done, pat-dry your face and apply your favorite facial

moisturizer....preferably one from Shop Herbally ;-)
